REGISTRATION AND STARTING TIMES

Everyone is requested to register inside the Clubhouse, at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the round.   The AM Shotgun is scheduled to start at 7:00am and the PM Shotgun is scheduled to start at 12:00pm.  Scorecards will be handed to the lowest handicap player in the group.

PRIOR TO SHOTGUN START

Everyone’s attendance is required at the Clubhouse near the Putting Green lot 10 minutes prior to the start of the round to receive last minute instructions.

It will get quite crowded at the Clubhouse between rounds, so the morning groups are kindly requested to park their carts (in an orderly fashion) near the Pro Shop (good time to stop in and check out what’s on sale) or behind the Clubhouse (next to the patio).

RULES

Men will play from the white tees, and ladies from the red tees.  This is a “Florida Scramble”, which means that from tee to the green, no player can follow his/her own shot.  All 4 players will be allowed to putt once on the putting surface.

All players tee off, after which the best ball is chosen. The next shot must be played from within one club length but no nearer to the hole.  If the chosen ball comes to rest in the rough then all team shots must be played from the rough as well.  If the chosen ball comes to rest on the fairway, subsequent shots can be placed; if the chosen ball comes to rest outside the fairway, then the players must drop the ball in the rough, waste area, or sand trap from shoulder height for subsequent shots.

Each player’s tee shots must be used a minimum of three (3) times during the round.  The player’s shot used should be indicated by placing the player’s initials on the score card next to each hole the player’s tee shot was used.  Once the ball is selected, the other 3 players will hit. The next shot that is selected, if not on the green, excludes that player from playing the subsequent shot, and so on until the ball is in the hole.  First ball in the hole counts. (Don’t putt out if other team members have not putted.)

3 PLAYER TEAM RULES

1.

If your team has only three players for some reason, the following rules will be followed.

2.

Each player will rotate in order being the 4th player on each hole.  Every player including your “fourth” is still required to obtain at least 3 drives

3.

The designated 4th player for that hole plays as the 4th player for the entire hole

·         For instance, if Player 1 is the designated “4th” players for that hole, and the team selects Player 2’s drive, then Player 1, Player 3 and Player 4 will hit the next shot where Player 4 is represented by Player 1.  Player 1 will hit twice.

4.

The handicap for the missing player will calculated by taking the average of the three playing players, and the team handicap will be adjusted accordingly.

HANDICAP ALLOWANCE (10% of Team total)

The team handicap allowance is calculated by taking 10% of the total team playing handicaps (i.e. if team players handicaps total 72 then the team handicap is 7.20).

PACE OF PLAY

The Format is a scramble, so please refrain for looking for those lost golf balls in the rough and in the water beyond 2 minutes.  The Pro Shop has lots of golf balls and I am sure they will gladly sell you some.

Make your decisions on the shots you will uses quickly as you can.  Please keep up with the group in front of you.
