Rolling Hills Golf Club is pleased to announce that with the recent announcement by the Saudi Golf Federation which allowed all Golf Courses in the Kingdom to open on September 16th, 2020, we are able to return to 10 minute tee-time intervals. The update to the tee-time interval will take effect on October 2nd, 2020.
In May, the Saudi Golf Federation issued a statement that Golf Courses could open on May 31st. That statement was quickly rescinded by order of the Saudi Government and Golf Courses were ordered closed. Our Golf Course however remained open, despite the ordered closure of all Golf Courses by the government. Only one other course in the Kingdom remained open during this period (Royal Greens in Jeddah). It took countless hours of lobbying Community Services by the RHGC Board with the support of members of the Company’s Executives to allow our course to open on May 31st and to continue to remain open after the ordered closure of golf courses by the government.
We have been privileged to be one of the only Sporting Facilities at Aramco to be open during most of summer months. We have put a lot of stress on the course during the summer months, and we have had some setbacks with watering issues which forced Gardening to close the course for a few days to help the course recover. We are approaching the slowdown in the growing season for the grass, and ask that that all members respect the course and do your part to fill in every divot you see with sand, and repair as many ball marks on the greens as you can. Avoid driving within 30 feet of the greens and travel as much as possible on the fairways and avoid driving extended distances in the rough.
