RHGC Proposed Constitution & Budget

To the Membership of the RHGC:

The RHGC Board of Directors have revised and unanimously approved the attached Constitution and By-Laws document. Recreation requires a review/revision every five years with our last update coming in 2014.  The Board used this opportunity to combine RHGC Constitution and By-Laws into a single document in line with other Self Directed Group’s governance documents.

 

The single biggest change to our Constitution/By-Laws is the proposal to make the Tournament Director and Handicap & Rules Director appointed rather than elected positions.  Making this change allows the Board more flexibility in retaining those willing to work these positions and enhance The Board’s ability to enhance continuity management.  In the continuing environment of low volunteerism for key positions, the Board felt this was the most effective way to address this issue.

 

The RHGC Membership is requested to review these documents prior to November 18th.  Any questions, counter-proposals or other measures must be submitted to Board Secretary, Steve Vezendy (stephen.vezendyjr@aramco.com) by that date to be considered at the RHGC AGM December 8th.

 

The Membership will vote on the Budget and Constitution/By-Laws electronically (after November 18th) or at the AGM.   The Board recommends the RHGC membership approve both of these documents as written.
