Congratulations to our Race to the Hills playoff qualifiers!
Players who have earned enough points during the qualifying Monthly Medal rounds (December 2021 through September 2022) to finish in the top 30 + ties are the only players eligible to continue in the Race to the Hills. These players are listed in the table below.
Tee Sheets: Round signup and pairings will be set by the Tournament Committee | 6:00am-7:00am
Format: Stroke Play | 75% Handicap | No Flights
Finishing: Players will earn 30 points for first place, 29 points for second place, etc., with points decreasing by finishing position.
Positional ties in a given round will receive points based on the number of players tied. Example: a three-way tie for 2nd place the October or November round will result in the following points being allocated to those players:
29 (2nd) + 28 (3rd) + 27 (4th) = 84 (Total Points)
84 / 3 (# of Players Tied) = 28 pts each
The overall winner will be determined by the total number of points earned in both the October and November rounds. We have some great prizes for the winners this year, including Hotel and Golf Ball Tickets.
If there is a tie for 1st place overall, the winner shall be determined by a Match Play sudden death playoff starting on Hole #1. There will no handicap allowance for the Match Play playoff. If there is a tie for 2nd place or 3rd Place, the winner shall be determined by the number of points gained in the November Monthly Medal.
If there is still a tie for 2nd Place, then the 2nd place and 3rd place winnings shall be divided equally among the players tied at that position. If there is still a tie for 3rd Place, then the 3rd place winnings shall be divided equally among the players tied at that position.
October & November Monthly Medal:
- All other players not qualifying for the Race to the Hills are still invited to play in the October and November Monthly Medal.
- The format, rules, and conditions of play remain the same as previous Monthly Medals.
- Round signup (tee sheet) for October Medal opens on September 27 at 4PM and closes on September 29 at 4PM.
- Format: Stroke play, 100% handicap, 5 flights
- No points are allocated to players who did not qualify for the playoffs
